Centralized services can include heating, cooling, hot water, and electricity that are produced at a centralized facility and then distributed to a group of nearby buildings. Due to economy of scale and the increased level of production, this often offers savings in cost and is more resource efficient. It also often provides access to service strategies that would not be practical for a single building.
